Last Day of School 2013

The last day of school in our family is always bittersweet.  We look forward to spending the summer together most of all but it's also nice to have a break from the school routine!  The sad part is missing friends, teachers, and all the changes they will encounter with the next school year.

This year was a little more momentous for our family.  Keara graduated 8th grade and was promoted to 9th grade.  Today was her 8th grade promotion ceremony and of course lots of tears were shed. We are so proud of her!  We are also a little nervous and a lot excited for what's in store for her in high school and all of the new and exciting adventures she will experience.

Today was Shaylin's last day of 4th grade but was only able to attend the first hour of school before I had to check her out and head over to Keara's promotion.

The gift we decided to give on the last day was *CHOCOLATE!*  We tucked it inside of the Mason Jar I featured in a post on Feb. 8, 2013.

Thanks for being such a GREAT teacher, Mrs. Elizondo!  We will miss you!!!

Another Teacher Gift

Yippee!  I remembered to take pictures 2 days in a row!  LOVE this gift because teachers can never have too many pencils!

Just punch a shape then punch a 1/4" circle punch in the center.  I had to push something through the hole to make it slightly bigger for the eraser to fit but actually Shaylin did most of this project.  Punched the flowers, holes, etc... really, the only thing she didn't do was cut the florist foam for the tin and glue gun to secure the *grass* to the foam.  Very easy!!!

Boo hoo and yea, only one short more day of 4th grade left!

Last Week of School (already)!

I can't believe it's the last week of school here in AZ!  My girls and I look forward to the summer all year and I can't believe it's finally here!  We have lots of activities planned, we'll see how many we can enjoy in this short time.

I love to spoil the girls teachers but now it's only Shaylin's teacher that actually gets anything.  Keara is in 8th grade and isn't in the *giving teachers gifts* mood a lot of the time.  Soooo, anyway, we come up with a gift for each day of the last week of school.  This year we have been very inspired by Pinterest. We've tried to switch it up or combine ideas but you might recognize some.

I forgot to take a picture of yesterday's gift but it was a box of Lucky Charms with a bow and Shaylin wrote a note on a tag that said *I'm LUCKY to have you as my Teacher*.  Just search Lucky Charms on Pinterest and you'll see how easy it is.

Today another quick and easy gift!  A simple cup with lid and straw and filled it with Smarties.

Hope her teacher likes this one, too!  :o)

Way too long!

It has been way too long since I've sat down and posted here on my blog!  Doesn't mean I haven't been crafting, creating and all that fun stuff!  Just wanted to say Thanks for hanging in there with me!

I wanted to share the Mother's Day card my Paparazzi customers got to make last night when they purchased 2 or more items.  Not familiar with Paparazzi?  Check it out HERE!  Every item is only $5.00!!! Contact me if you have any questions, would like to have a Party (in-home, bag, or online) or would like to know the benefits of joining!

Ok, back to this sweet and simple card.

Just spelled out *Mom* with an alphabet stamp set, cut a doily in half and glued that below mom and tied some twine with tags stamped with *love* and *4 U* from the Tiny Tags stamp set and Jewelry Tag Punch.  Ink used was Regal Rose and card stock colors were Whisper White, Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, Pink Pirouette and Lucky Limeade.  The scrunched flower was made with all 3 pink colors and the 1 1/4" Scallop Circle Punch.

You might notice that some of these items/colors are retiring so get them while you can!

Thanks for stopping by!
