Triple Tier Slider Card Class

Just wanted to share the projects we made in today's *Six Dollar Sunday*.  I found the Triple Tier Slider Card HERE on Heather Summer's blog and just knew I had to make it.  You can find the measurements and her video there, too!  So, be sure to check it out.

Some of you might recognize this background paper.  Stampin' Up! carried it sooo long ago, I can't even remember what it's called.  Unfortunately, I'm a paper hog and for some reason I would rather look at it than use it.  That just makes no sense when I think about it logically.  But, it is what it is and I have to force myself to use my paper, which is what I did with this project.

The bow was inspired by the cover of the new Stampin' Up! catalog

This is the slider card when you pull all the layers out.  Soooo cute!

Well, I just couldn't have them make only one project so I quickly came up with this matching gift card holder this morning.

This cutie is soooo quick and easy!  All you need is a 3" x 7" piece of paper and fold it in half.  With the fold on the bottom and the open side on top, I placed sticky strip on the sides, to seal them up.  Now, only the top is open and that's where I punched half of the 3/4" circle punch to make an opening to pull the gift card out.  Then just decorate the front.  This is also a great way to use your scraps.

Teacher Appreciation Week ~ Gift #3

Today's gift is a simple note paper holder made with the *You're My Type* stamp set.  Just a little something cute her teacher can have on her desk, at school or at home.  This one has my name on it but the one Shaylin gave her teacher doesn't.  :o)  Plus, it had a lot more pieces of note paper.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to spoil a Teacher this week!

*Fun Gift* Kit Offer

I'm feeling so bad right now!  I was cleaning the fish tank today and had to leave to pick up the girls from school.  I was gone for over 2 hours and when we came home, our white fish had jumped out of the bowl and was on the floor.  I don't know how long he was laying there but I put him back in the water and he moved a little then sunk to the bottom.  I pushed him with the net and he swam a little on his back.  We've been looking over him and are hoping he makes it.  We've had these goldfish for over 4 years and they are already miracles with how long they've lived.  So, we'll see if he makes it through the night.  Here is a pic of our fish from last year.

I had my *Fun Gifts Class* on Sunday and was very excited to share some cute projects that will make great Mother's Day or Teachers gifts.  The project I am sharing today is great for a desk.  I haven't given it a name but maybe you can help me with that.

I had been thinking about this project for a couple weeks, trying to figure out dimensions, the look/feel, etc... and was so excited when it was completed.  It came out even better than I expected.

Would you like a kit for this project? All you have to do is, place an order of $50 or more during the month of May on my Stampin' Up! website: www.jillparker.stampinup.net and I will send you a kit of your own.

Wanna Play?

Last night was my Technique Tuesday class and we learned the *Tap Dancing* technique.  But, before I get to the projects we made, I wanted to share another fun part of this class.  It's called *WWYD* ~ What Would You Do?  Everyone gets an envelope of the same supplies to take home with them.  Then, at the next Technique Tuesday class, everyone brings the card they made with the supplies.  It is so fun to see what everyone created and no 2 cards are ever the same.

SOOO, I thought I would see if you wanted to join in the fun, too?!  Here are the supplies that everyone got at class last night.  Just copy the supplies below and see what you can create.  Feel free to share what you made by emailing me a pic and I will post it here after my next Technique Tuesday Class, along with what everyone at class created.  Wanna play?

(If you'd like to check out our WWYD cards from last night, go to my meetup site:  www.meetup.com/inkie-pinkies)

WWYD Supplies:  8 1/2" x 5 1/2" Tempting Turquoise cardstock, 4 1/4" x 2" Brights Collection Paper Stack, 1 1/2" x 5 1/2" Whisper White cardstock, 2 Whisper White Blossom Punch, 1 1/4" Pumpkin Pie circle punch, 1" Whisper White Circle Punch stamped with Pumpkin Pie Mixed Bunch stamp.

This is the 1st time trying this on my blog so if you have any suggestions or questions, they are always welcome!

Ok, on to the *Tap Dancing* technique we learned last night.  I found this technique in the Stampin' Success for April.  As a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, we receive this magazine monthly.  It's a great source for ideas and motivation.  Feel free to contact me if you'd like to know more!

This is the card we made in class.

This is the note card/envelope we made using the Scallop Envelope Bigz Die.

Tap Dancing How To:  Choose a stamp and a lighter color ink pad and a darker color marker.  You can use more than 2 colors but I just used 2 on each project.  You will ink up your stamp with the lighter ink pad then randomly color over the inked stamp with a darker color marker.  Just try it once and you will see how easy it is.  And, each time you do it, it will never come out the same twice.

Have fun with this technique!  Contact me if you'd like a list of supplies.
